Why are Brixton tours souring right now? and the best events coming up...
Over the past month, I’ve clocked Chris Eubank shopping in Brixton Market, tour groups crowding Brixton Village, guides like Obi running more daily Afro-Caribbean food walks. More images of tourists in front of Brixton Street Wear’s brilliant shop design. This Friday we’re hosting 42 entrepreneurs, delegates and creatives from the City of Amsterdam. We’ve also just had 22 Swedish municipal leaders through—Brixton as a study visit, not just a night out.

So what’s the pull? The food, the creativity, Black heritage, the energy? Maybe it’s the mix: living history, independent kitchens, and culture you can actually join, not just watch.
Tell me: if you had one hour to show a visitor why Brixton matters, where would you take them —and why?
