Organised by Lambeth Archives and the Lambeth Local History Forum, the Lambeth Heritage Festival takes place across Lambeth throughout September and brings together a host of over 80 different events and activities with the shared aim of celebrating the history and heritage of our borough.

Did You Know The Oldest Pub in Brixton is Over 100 Years Old?
Whether it’s a summer breeze or an autumn stroll, no trip to Brixton is complete without a drink in one of the town’s vibrant pubs. The Prince of Wales has been serving pints one since at least 1891. And plenty of others have popped up since!

Revolutionary Acts: Love & Brotherhood in Black Gay Britain

Head down to Brixton Tate Library to hear about this landmark book, which tells of a young man who meets a spirited elder generation of Black gay men in Brixton.
Free Bat Walk in Windmill Gardens
Date: 18th September
Hyped for spooky season already? Join Lambeth environment and bat expert Dr Iain Boulton for an evening of bat discovery in Windmill Gardens. Bat detectors will be supplied. Arrive at 7.10pm for a 7.25pm start. It’s free to attend!
Little Sunflowers For Families with Children Aged 0-3

Are you a family with children aged 0-3? Drop in to Allen Edwards Primary School for free play, craft activities, light refreshments and guest speakers every fortnight during term time. It’s a great way to meet other families in the area!
Brixton & Friends at POP Brixton

Thursday is the new Friday, and POP’s famous street food stalls will be serving up everything from pizza to Pad Thai with their bartenders slinging ice cold cocktails at their weekly free entry party. Head on down for good vibes and great music!
