The BCC 100 — Who Runs Brixton? (Who’s Who)
Over the past year, I’ve kept my ear to the ground—listening to what people love and meeting the keyholders of Brixton who make this place feel unique everyday: owners, founders, heads of houses, artists, politicians, landlords, long-time traders and the quiet custodians behind the scenes.
The BCC 100 is a friendly who’s who of 100 of those people and organisations. No rankings—just short, recorded conversations in the newsletter, a few clips across our channels, and a growing archive celebrating the hands behind the places you know.
Next week: Diana Nabagereka, General Manager at Brixton Village & Market Row, on keeping the arcades welcoming, the cultural pillars that guide her team, practical tips for new traders, and a few winter favourites to try when you visit.
We’ll share one each week—human stories, names you can say hello to, and a nudge to explore Brixton with fresh eyes.
Got someone in mind? Reply with their name, where to find them, and why they matter.
