Where Do Celebrities Go Out in Brixton? The secret you didn’t know about.
Brixton’s celebrity circuit isn’t just late‑night hype. You’ll spot them at the Black Cultural Archives on Windrush Square; you might catch them grabbing a plate at Fish, Wings & Tings or Healthy Eaters. But the real magnet is Market Row and Brixton Village. And one of the most visited places I have seen Michael B. Jordan, Malala Yousafzai, and even Samuel L. Jackson disappear is HAUS, this tiny vinyl‑and‑plant bar hiding in plain sight.
Owner Simone says HAUS is a true third place—queer‑safe, come‑as‑you‑are—with plants for calm, records for connection, and a small licensed bar. On Fridays (7–11 pm) the decks go to emerging women DJs—Afrobeats to rare groove—and the occasional dubstep takeover nods to an old Brixton frequency. Celebrities are cameos; the main act is a room where locals feel at home.

Weapons @ritzy
Zach Cregger follows Barbarian with something stranger, sadder, and sharper: a folk-horror mystery where an entire class of kids vanishes overnight, leaving one shaken survivor and a town spiralling into paranoia. Julia Garner anchors the chaos as a teacher under suspicion, Josh Brolin broods on the edges, and dread seeps through every quiet rural corner. It’s grief-soaked, fractured, and unwilling to hand you all the answers—less a neat whodunnit than a nightmare you half-remember. I’m curious to see how long it lingers after the lights come up. 🧪 Rotten Tomatoes: 95%. 🎟️ Book now
Materialists @ Ritzy
Celine Song’s Past Lives wrecked me—in the best way—so I’m excited to see her go glossy and thorny about love, class and taste. Dakota Johnson plays a matchmaker caught between Chris Evans’ ideal and Pedro Pascal’s chaos; it’s elegant on the surface, messy underneath. I’m keen for Shabier Kirchner’s lensing and the way Song lets adult feelings breathe. Critics are split but broadly warm; that tension makes me more curious. I’ll be the one whisper‑cheering for complicated choices in row G. 🎟️ Book Now
