Brixton digital artwork: “the most diverse place in the world”
Reggae music. Latin pastries. Chinese street food and rum punch that tastes like sunshine in a glass. Brixton is the multicultural capital of London. But is it the most diverse neighbourhood in the world?
We reckon so! London, New York and Toronto take the top three spots for the most diverse cities across the globe. There are over 300 languages spoken in London, with 36.4% of its beautiful residents born outside of the UK. And Brixton is where cultures collide to create a community unlike any other.
Where have you been that feels like Brixton? Where people from all around the world come together and the result is properly magical? Let us know in the comments.
FOOD AND DRINK IN BRIXTON
Our three favourite coffee shops
If, like us, you have a real passion for coffee, you need to know where the best coffee spots are — and the competition is strong in Brixton. Check out three of our faves.
1. Brixton Blend
Brixton Blend is a cosy and casual coffee shop tucked away opposite the station. This place is super relaxing and has speciality coffees and a selection of cakes and healthy juices. Grab a seat inside or out to work or catch up with a friend over a speciality coffee. Choose from a variety of blends and single-origin beans!
2. F. Mondays
I know what you’re thinking — what does the F stand for? We asked, and they said fuck, fun or whatever you want. F. Mondays has two locations in Brixton, both with excellent coffee, friendly service, and gorgeous hidden garden. Get brunch, snaffle a freshly baked treat, and choose from signature blends and single-origin options.
3. Addis in Brixton
Addis in Brixton is a speciality coffee shop located in Brixton Market, founded by coffee enthusiasts Yanet and Greg. The shop specializes in Ethiopian hand-roasted coffee and offers a range of traditional Ethiopian vegan food. It’s known for its authentic coffee experience and warm hospitality. You have to check it out.
