The BCC Members Bar is a members-only rum house inside Impact Brixton. Part cocktail bar, part working distillery, part cultural space. Small, intentional, and built to last.
We’re hiring a Hospitality Lead to run Friday night service and grow with us.
What this actually is:
You’ll lead Friday evening service (5pm–1am), managing a small team — one Host, one Bar Support, and occasional volunteers. You’ll work closely with the founder on cocktail development and real rum production.
Once you’re trained, the bar should run just as well whether the founder is in the room or not. That’s the standard.
What you’ll do
On the floor:
Run service. Set the pace. Make decisions on entry, standards, and flow. You own the room on your shift.
Behind the bar:
Execute and refine our pre-batched cocktail systems. Co-develop new serves each quarter — always rum-forward. Keep the drinks tight.
Behind the scenes:
Support stock ordering alongside the Operations Manager. Help with bottle sales and membership conversations. Write a short shift report after each Friday. Close out and reconcile properly.
In the distillery:
Get hands-on with rum production. This isn’t a gimmick — we actually make the spirit.
On camera:
Capture simple, honest content moments during service. Nothing forced.
How you need to communicate
This matters as much as anything else.
Be prompt. Be clear. Give context when you raise something. Listen before you act. Give your team simple, direct instructions during service. Know when to make the call yourself and when to check in.
Mistakes happen, that’s fine. What isn’t fine is poor communication or repeating the same ones.
Your team should feel calm around you. The founder should feel relaxed when you’re leading.

If you don’t have deep cocktail experience, that’s fine. We’ll teach you. What we can’t teach is character.
